Region 5 West Berbice

Region 5 – West Coast Berbice had a population of 49,174 persons and its operational areas ranged from Wilhelmina, Mahaica on the East Coast of Demerara to Gelderland on the West Bank of the Berbice with 13,711 households and 13,520 customers and 141 communities. There was a 29%/ 71% metered to unmetered customer mix. The regional operations provide a service to 532 commercial, 11,390 domestic, 60 industrial, 43 institutional and 1,479 ‘no charge' - customers. There were 40 Schools and 9 Health Centers.
